By booking an appointment and paying a deposit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following booking policy.
A deposit is required to secure all tattoo appointments. Your appointment is not confirmed until the deposit has been paid.
Deposits are non-refundable, non-transferable, and are applied toward the final cost of your tattoo only if you attend your appointment as scheduled and complete the tattoo appointment under the terms of this policy.
• Deposits
Deposits are used to reserve appointment time and compensate for the time, labor, and preparation required before your appointment. This includes, but is not limited to, consultation time, design planning, drawing time, reference review, stencil preparation, station setup, supply preparation, and holding appointment time that is no longer available to other clients.
A deposit is not simply a partial payment toward the tattoo. It is also compensation for time and preparation performed before the appointment. For that reason, all deposits are non-refundable.
Deposits are forfeited if the client cancels, reschedules outside the allowed rescheduling terms, does not show up, arrives too late to complete the appointment, changes the design beyond the original agreement, arrives unprepared, uses unapproved numbing products, or is unable to be tattooed for any reason caused by the client.
Deposits cannot be transferred to another person, another design, another body placement, or another appointment.
• Rescheduling
Appointments may be rescheduled one time only with at least 72 hours’ notice.
If you reschedule with at least 72 hours’ notice, your deposit may transfer one time to the new appointment date.
Any additional reschedule requires a new deposit.
Reschedule requests made with less than 72 hours’ notice will result in forfeiture of the deposit, and a new deposit will be required to book again.
Reasons for rescheduling do not change this policy. This includes illness, emergencies, work conflicts, transportation issues, parking issues, childcare issues, financial issues, travel delays, weather, or any other personal circumstance.
I reserve the right to deny future appointments to clients who repeatedly reschedule.
• Cancellations
Cancellations made by the client forfeit the deposit.
If you cancel and would like to book again, a new deposit will be required.
Cancellations made with less than 72 hours’ notice will be treated as a late cancellation and the deposit will be forfeited. Clients with repeated cancellations may be denied future booking.
• No-Shows
Failure to arrive for your appointment will result in the full loss of your deposit.
A client is considered a no-show if they do not arrive, do not communicate before the appointment time, or arrive so late that the appointment can no longer be completed as scheduled.
Future appointments after a no-show will require a new deposit of 50% of the estimated tattoo cost.
After two no-shows, the client will not be rebooked. • Late Arrivals
Please arrive on time.
Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late may need to be rescheduled. If the appointment can no longer be completed because of the late arrival, the deposit will be forfeited and a new deposit will be required to book again.
Parking, train delays, traffic, rideshare delays, or other transportation issues do not change this policy. Please plan accordingly and allow extra travel time. Parking may be limited, and taking the train or another reliable form of transportation is strongly advised.
• Design Changes
All major design information must be provided before booking. This includes subject matter, style, size, placement, reference images, and any important details you want included.
Major design changes after booking may require a new deposit.
Major design changes include, but are not limited to, changing the subject matter, changing the style, changing the placement, changing the size significantly, requesting a new concept, adding major elements, removing major elements, or changing the design in a way that requires substantial redraw time.
If a major design change is requested after the appointment has been scheduled, the original deposit will be forfeited and a new deposit will be required before a new design or appointment is scheduled.
Minor adjustments may be made at my discretion.
• Client Approval of Design
Before the tattoo procedure begins, the client is responsible for carefully reviewing and approving the final design, stencil, placement, size, spelling, dates, numbers, grammar, punctuation, translations, symbols, names, and any other details included in the tattoo.
It is the client’s responsibility to confirm that all wording, spelling, translations, references, and design details are accurate before giving approval to begin the tattoo.
The artist does not verify or certify the accuracy of translations, foreign-language text, cultural symbols, religious symbols, dates, coordinates, handwriting, copied reference material, or client-provided wording. Clients are responsible for verifying these details with a qualified source before approving the design.
Once the client approves the design, stencil, placement, and size, and the tattoo procedure begins, any errors, discrepancies, misspellings, mistranslations, incorrect dates, incorrect names, incorrect numbers, or other details that were present in the approved design, stencil, or client-provided reference material are not the responsibility of the artist.
By approving the design and stencil, the client confirms that they have reviewed all details and accepts full responsibility for the accuracy of the approved tattoo design.
• Consultation Policy
Consultations require a clear general idea of the tattoo. At minimum, you must provide the subject matter, style, approximate size, placement, and reference images.
Appointments cannot proceed without this information.
I cannot provide an accurate quote, design plan, or appointment length for a tattoo that has not been clearly described.
Reference images from Instagram, Pinterest, tattoo portfolios, artwork, photography, or other visual sources are encouraged. References are used to understand direction, not to copy another artist’s tattoo exactly.
• Sleeve & Large Project Policy
Sleeves, back pieces, large-scale work, and multi-session projects are planned one section at a time unless otherwise agreed.
A deposit is required for each session reserved in advance.
If an entire sleeve or large project is being planned in advance, deposits may be required for each scheduled session before the full project is designed.
Deposits for large projects are subject to the same cancellation, rescheduling, lateness, and design-change policies listed above. • Pricing
All quotes are estimates unless stated otherwise in writing.
Final pricing may change based on final size, placement, detail, complexity, skin condition, body area, client pain tolerance, last-minute changes, or additional time required during the appointment.
If the tattoo changes from the original request, the price may change.
• Client Preparedness
Clients must arrive prepared to be tattooed. Please eat beforehand, be hydrated, bring valid government-issued ID, and arrive with clean skin in the area being tattooed.
You must be legally able to receive a tattoo. No minors will be tattooed.
If you arrive intoxicated, under the influence, visibly unwell, sunburned, with damaged skin, without proper ID, or otherwise unable to be tattooed safely, the appointment may be cancelled and your deposit may be forfeited. • Client Condition
Clients must arrive prepared and physically able to be tattooed safely.
If the client arrives unable to be tattooed safely due to intoxication, illness, damaged skin, sunburn, rash, injury, lack of valid ID, medical contraindication, failure to follow preparation instructions, or any other condition that prevents the tattoo from being performed safely, the appointment may be cancelled or rescheduled at the artist’s discretion and the deposit may be forfeited.
Clients may not use numbing cream, topical anesthetics, lidocaine products, sprays, gels, or any other skin-numbing products without my prior approval.
Use of unapproved numbing products may affect the skin, stencil, tattoo process, healing, and final result. If a client arrives having used an unapproved numbing product, I reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or reschedule the appointment, and the deposit may be forfeited.
Any approved numbing product must be discussed before the appointment and used exactly as instructed. The client is responsible for disclosing any numbing products, medications, skin products, or other substances applied to the tattoo area before the procedure begins.
• Healing & Aftercare
Tattoo results vary based on skin type, placement, aftercare, lifestyle, sun exposure, and the client’s healing process.
The artist is not responsible for poor healing, fading, infection, irritation, or damage caused by improper aftercare, picking, scratching, sun exposure, swimming, workouts, friction, unapproved products, or failure to follow aftercare instructions.
The client is responsible for following all aftercare instructions provided. • Right to Refuse Service
I reserve the right to decline, cancel, or stop any tattoo at my discretion.
This includes, but is not limited to, unsafe conditions, inappropriate behavior, harassment, intoxication, aggressive communication, inability to sit for the tattoo, lack of required ID, skin that cannot be tattooed safely, use of unapproved numbing products, or a requested design that falls outside my style, standards, ethics, or ability to execute properly.
If the appointment is stopped or cancelled due to the client’s behavior, condition, lack of preparedness, use of unapproved numbing products, or failure to follow this policy, the deposit will be forfeited.
• Payment Disputes
By paying a deposit, you agree that the deposit is non-refundable under the terms listed in this policy.
If a payment dispute or chargeback is filed after a deposit has been forfeited under this policy, I reserve the right to provide the payment processor with the booking records, appointment details, written policy, client acknowledgment, message history, design preparation, appointment reminders, cancellation or rescheduling messages, signed consent forms, final design approval, and any other relevant documentation.
Clients who file improper disputes or chargebacks may be denied future service. • Agreement
By paying a deposit, you confirm that you understand and agree to this booking policy.
You understand that deposits are non-refundable, non-transferable, and may be forfeited if you cancel, reschedule late, no-show, arrive late, change the design significantly, arrive unprepared, use unapproved numbing products, fail to follow preparation instructions, or are otherwise unable to complete the appointment for any client-related reason.
You also understand that you are responsible for reviewing and approving the final design, stencil, placement, size, spelling, translations, dates, numbers, names, symbols, and all other details before the tattoo procedure begins.
